German Shepherds (Read: German SHREDDERS) are chewers! Most of them are very good at destroying toys that most dogs enjoy playing with for years.

These Toys are great for putting Peanut Butter in so that they have something to keep them busy. We have yet to have a shepherd chew off the tops of an Extreme toy, but have had the senior/puppy ones give out on us.
Well, it has lasted quite a while for how much the dogs seem to love this toy. Not quite a year, but with supervision it would last quite a while- even with some tears.

We still have the first toy that we bought 8 years ago. It’s got some battle scars, but it’s still going! We like to put special “treat food” in this to help keep a dog busy. It is a treat to watch them figure it out and push it around!
This is the Shepherd’s version of a tennis ball! It is without the fuzzy skin that they seem to love ripping off and ingesting. We always have a few of these rolling around when there are puppies in the house.
